VII World Congress of Russian Press was held from August 29 to September 1, 2005 in two countries. Bringing together representatives of Russian mass media from 52 countries and opened in Helsinki, capital of Finland, the Forum continued its work on board the ferries crossing the Baltic Sea, and moved to Stockholm, Sweden.
The working agenda of the Congress, along with the traditional themes of WARP, discussed the role of the Russian-speaking journalist community in the new reality of Europe of the XXI century.
Greetings to participants and guests of the VII World Congress of Russian Press were sent by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Finland Paavo Lipponen opened the conference and spoke from his rostrum.
