XIII World Congress of Russian Press

XIII World Congress of Russian Press met on 14-17 June 2011 in symbolic for the entire Russian world place - Kiev, "the mother of Russian cities." Journalists arrived from 61 countries.

The boundaries of countries and limitless language space; Russian language is the universal tool of cultural, informational and humanitarian contacts in the near post-Soviet space and the general cultural code of compatriots in distant countries - these theses outlined the overall theme of the presentations and discussions at the forum. In the professional category modern media technology, online and integrated media got the most attention.

Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Naryshkin conveyed a written greeting to the participants and guests of the Congress from the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

The Congress was attended and addressed by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

The second part of the forum was held in Odessa, the city that creates and stores its unique international culture having mastered and multiplied all wealth of the Russian language.
